Curriculum Vitae

Reto Wasser is an architect MSc ETH. He has been working since as a teaching assistant at the Chair of Construction Heritage & Preservation of Prof. Dr-Ing. Silke Langenberg at ETH Zurich. In the spring semester of 2023, he will be a lecturer in the MAS “Denkmalpflege und Konstruktionserbe”. Alongside his work at the chair, Reto Wasser pursues his own projects as an independent architect. Previously, Wasser worked as project manager for the joint venture of the two firms Boesch Architekten and Diener & Diener on the project “Instandsetzung Kongresshaus and Tonhalle Zurich” from January 2014 to July 2020. The main focus of the collaboration was the supervision and processing of the building parts and areas relevant for the preservation of historical monuments. This applies in particular to the conceptual design and restoration work on the „Grosse Tonhalle“, as well as the restoration of the historic sgraffito plaster in the two foyers. After graduating in 2013, Reto Wasser contributed to the online catalogue of the materials archive at the Sitterwerk St. Gallen; in 2015, he was granted the Friedrich Fund scholarship of ETH Zurich for a trip to Rome, Athens and Istanbul, during which he photographically investigated the heritage of the classical period in contemporary architecture.
